The purpose of the Shoot-out is to create camaraderie among fellow anglers and to get more anglers involved in the club. Most of all it is to have fun!
Notice will be given via email two to three days prior to the event taking place once weather conditions are forecasted to be favorable.
The rules are simple. The contest is open to all KCBF&B Club members. You do not have to be signed up in the tournament to participate. You may also have non-KCBF&B Club participants on board your vessel.
The fee is $100 per boat. The number of boats that participate will determine if we have first, second and third place finishers.
The winner will be determined by the highest percentage of the state record of the fish that are listed on our monthly tournament sheets. I will have a special sheet the day of the contest at Captain Hooks marked “Shoot-out”.
We will meet at Shelter Bay (same location as the sunset moonrise boating event) at 7:30AM to collect your entry fee. Lines in will be at 8AM and lines out will be at 2PM. I will pick up the sheet at 3:30pm. We will tentatively meet at Havana Jack’s to hand out cash prizes to the winners.
